On Saturday 31st May 2014 the Mayor of Test Valley Cllr Jan Lovell unveilled a permanent Jubilee Portrait sculpture commissioned by Test Valley Arts Foundation.
The foundation had thought it a pity that the present monach's Diamond Jubilee was not marked in the town of Romsey, especially as the Queen has been a regular visitor to Romsey, normally around the time of her wedding anniversary each year.
The sculpture was created by local artist Chris Cudlip to mark the Diamond Jubilee and is on display in the Romsey Library.
Representatives from Library Services, Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Arts Foundation were all in Romsey Library to unveil the Queen's Jubilee Plaque - it took some time to decide on a home for it, but it was worth the wait.
