In addition to grant giving, the Foundation raises funds for the arts in Test Valley via individual and corporate donations and sponsorship, and via grants, legacies, fundraising events, gifts-in-kind.
The Foundation is especially keen to work with companies that are seeking to develop their sponsorship of the arts via Corporate Citizenship or Corporate Social Responsibility programmes in line with recent government initiatives.
Individuals and companies that wish to donate to the arts in Test Valley simply and tax-efficiently can do so via the Foundationís Gift Aid Scheme using the form opposite.|
What is Gift Aid?
Gift aid is a way for individuals and companies to give to charity tax-efficiently. The amount donated is worth almost a third more to the Foundation at no additional cost to the donor. Individuals and companies are able to donate via Gift Aid provided they pay UK income tax (includes Capital Gains Tax) at least equal to the amount of tax that the charity will claim on their donation.
Individuals and companies can similarly donate quoted shares or securities, and individuals, from recent school leavers to company executives, can donate via Payroll Giving provided their company offers such a scheme.
Please note that companies no longer have to deduct tax from their Gift Aid donations nor will they have to provide a Gift Aid declaration to the charity but simply pay their donation/s and claim appropriate tax relief when assessing their profits for corporation tax.
If you would like to discuss other ways of giving please contact the Foundationís Development Officer.
