An exciting new exhibition by Artists in Test Valley will attract attention in the andArt Gallery at 73 High Street in Andover town centre from Wednesday February 20th to Wednesday March 19th, 2008. The gallery, situated in the Blue Onion café, opened only last year - providing visitors a superb opportunity to view and buy original works of art whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and a bite to eat.

Artists in Test Valley is a group of 13 professional artists, including painters, printmakers, sculptors, a jeweller, potter and an artist working in stained glass. The group formed in 2004 and has since then gone from strength to strength, their latest exhibition having been at Southampton City Art Gallery from October 8th 2007 to January 4th 2008.

The artists live and work in and around the Test Valley. In May this year they have again been invited to the prestigious Project Workshops Summer Exhibition at Quarley (May 10-11th). A week later (May 17-25th) Artists in Test Valley will open their doors to the public for their annual Open Studios, an event that has over the years become well known and busy with visitors, interested in the artists’ working places.

Apart from regular local and county wide exhibitions, many of the artists exhibit nationally and internationally. The variety of the work of Artists in Test Valley attracts visitors from across the country, their exhibitions recognised as one of those not to be missed events.

The coming exhibition in Blue Onion’s andArt Gallery in Andover centre will be paintings only (due to restrictions of space), though it will nevertheless be as varied, stunning and impressive as always. This exhibition will be a fantastic opportunity to shop for special occasions, like anniversaries, weddings, birthdays etc. Most artists produce prints and cards of their work and are also available for commissions. An exhibition worthwhile visiting.
